It was an excellent day of photography. The judge for the day was Michael Krier ARPS, MA (photography) from the Cotswolds. He was one of the best judges we have had at the Barrian Cup he was concise and to the point and had something positive to say about all the prints. Having spoken to him during the day he said the photography was of a very high standard and a lot of the prints would gain awards and acceptances in international exhibitions.
Competition was close with Cwmbran and The Vale on 90 points with Bridgend and Cymru Mono sharing 3rd place with 92 points, in second place with 93 was Inn Focus but in 1st place with 96 points the winner of the Barrian Cup was Gwynfa CC.
Gareth Martin won the Dave Cowdrey Trophy for the best Landscape Seascape print for the second year running. Congratulations to the winners.
We would like to thank all clubs for entering and a big thank you to all the members who turned up on the day and made this years Barrian Cup a great success.
We would like to apologise for the mix up with the Raffle and will be giving a free raffle ticket to members attending next year.
