We’ve received sad news from Dave Lewis at Tenby & District Camera Club:
I have the sad duty to announce the passing of our good friend and esteemed photographer Gary Jenkins.
Gary was one of Tenby’s best, he specialised in photographing the most difficult of subjects. He loved taking dragonflies but also took general wildlife and astro-photography. The images he produced were of an excellent quality whatever the subject and gained many 20’s for our club at external competitions over the years. He recently gained his EFIAP and DPAGB at Pontefract.
He was very knowledgeable on post processing and gave several talks to our club on Lightroom and Photoshop. He almost single handed ran our Summer School last year as well as being a valued committee member, our Secretary and Webmaster.
Gary bravely fought his illness over the last few months, but after several operations unfortunately, died on Saturday morning, 26th January.
