1 There is no additional charge to a club for entering the
Glan & Mair Howells Memorial Trophy Competition.
2 A club does not have to enter this competition in order for
its members to qualify for the reduced Welsh club rate, provided
that at least four members enter from that club.
3 If a club wishes to compete for the trophy, they must select
twelve images from those submitted by their members and
complete the necessary form.
Of those images, there must be
no more than 3 images from any one worker
no more than 6 images from any section.
4 At the judging of the Salon, the scores received by the
nominated images will be totalled and the trophy will be
awarded to the club with the highest total.
5 In the event of a tie, the trophy will be awarded to the club
with the highest number of points accrued according to the
following table:

F.I.A.P. Bronze Medal – Best Social Documentary image – General Section
P.S.A. Gold Medal – Best Photo-Travel image on the theme Transportation

P.S.A. Silver Medal – Best image in the Natural History Section
P.S.A. Bronze Medal – Best image in the Photo-Travel Section
6 The winning club will be awarded the Glan & Mair Howells
Memorial Trophy, which they will hold for a period of one year.
7 The winning club will return the trophy to the organiser no later
than the closing date for the following year’s salon.
