Pyle & Porthcawl P.S. invites you to enter the Sony Trophy Competition and Exhibition, a print competition and open to all Clubs and Societies affiliated to the Welsh Photographic Federation. The theme is SPEED.
There will be a prize for the best panel of entries submitted by a Club or Society and a Trophy to be retained in the ownership of the Club or Society. There will also be a prize for the best photograph of the competition and a Trophy to be retained by the Photographer.
The prints entered must be entirely new work and not have been submitted as a print or digital image (DPI) into any external competition or publication, or exhibited prior to this event.
Each print must be mounted 40cm x 50cm in either orientation and accompanied by its “Jpg” digital counterpart in 1024 pixels wide (max) by 768 pixels high (max) format. The closing date for entries is 1st July.
The competition will be judged in the Main Hall at The Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl on Sunday 17th July, where there will be a simultaneous display of the DPI on the Cinema Screen. The exhibition will form part of Porthcawl’s “Festival of Speed” and the prints will be on display from Sunday 31st July until Friday 5th August in the Main Hall of The Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl along with a continuous showing of the DPI on the screen above the exhibition stands.
