URGENT NEWS – Please inform your members.

Due to a double booking at the original venue, the 2013 WPF AGM will now be held at Caerlan Hall, Newbridge Road, Llantrisant, CF72 8EX on Sunday 3rd March commencing at 2.30pm. You may know it as the meeting place of Gwynfa Camera Club.

Please note: Parking is limited outside Caerlan Hall. The small community car park next to the hall is used by local residents and will be full on a Sunday. There may be some street parking but please park responsibly. However, the main car park is a short walk away and to get to it you have to drive down the common road and then walk up Ruperra Street (quite a steep slope) up to the hall. Here is a map of how to find the main car park. FOr more directions

Exit the M4 at Junction 34 and head towards Llantrisant. After passing through 2 sets of lights, a roundabout and another set of lights, turn right at the next traffic lights (at Talbot Green) onto the B4595. Then drive up the hill.

At the top of the hill turn SHARP left and follow road up through Llantrisant. As you pass the Cross Keys pub (on the left), Caerlan Hall is immediately on the right. There is some street parking all along the left hand side of Newbridge Road but this is often full.

Car Parks: The car park next to the hall is heavily used by residents and usually full, especially on a Sunday when many are at home. However, a short walk away there are two large car parks with plenty of spaces. To find them follow the directions from the M4 as above but turn left at the CROSS KEYS pub. Then, at the top of the hill (by the statue of Dr Price), turn right down the hill towards Llantrisant Common.

Then take the first right into Gwaun Ruperra Street and go down the slope and turn right into the bottom car park. Park at the far end and walk up Ruperra Street (a short but steep hill) onto Newbridge Road. Caerlan Community Hall is opposite to the right. (Note; Ruperra Street is a ‘no through road’ so there is no vehicle access to the bottom car parks via Newbridge Road).
